  |   Technology   |   No comment
With international funds pouring into the African countries, governments are managing sponsored projects with more accountability and precision. In 2013, the Federal Ministry of Finance, Nigeria, through its Youth Development Program Initiative, facilitated a project to provide employment to Nigerian Qualified Youth in various infrastructure projects sponsored by DFID (UK Department of international Development). These projects are being executed in Nigeria by NIAF (Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility) with consultation from renowned Adam Smith International (ASI). ASI has won the prestigious British Expertise award for this project.

STPL Global developed the entire solution to manage the recruitment of youth, associate them with respective projects, capture their bank account details, and effect online remittance of their compensation. United Bank for Africa Plc provided the banking infrastructure and are the favored banking partners in this project.

The solution is available as a portal in a hosted environment which provides the ease to access it from anywhere in a secured manner. It has been readily integrated with the payment gateway Amplitude STP with which all financial transactions can be automatically managed by UBA Plc. The solution provides interactive reports and BI which assists the government and the various parties to measure and manage the large number of youth employed in these projects, keep an exact record of fund disbursement and more.
